The bi-lingual website MJPortal.com, dedicated to the singer/entertainer
MICHAEL JACKSON, is planning on making a sincere appeal directly to Italian
television station Italia 1, the managing board of the Mediaset Networks,
the President of the Republic, Mr. Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and the Prime
Minister, Mr Silvio Berlusconi, to prohibit the broadcast of the horror film
"The Exorcist" scheduled to view on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 9:00pm.

Due to the strong contents of the film we firmly believe that it is not
possible to propose the broadcasting of this film during hours when the
viewers are primarily made up of small children and young adolescents.

We take this opportunity to remind you that last February, Italia 1 had been
invited to move the broadcasting time of the documentary "Living With
Michael Jackson" to a later hour because various and sundry organizations
dedicated to young people, children, etc. considered the content 'not
proper' for the younger viewing audience. It was broadcast later in the
evening. Now, the same television station, Italia 1, after various, sincere
appeals by the same organizations after having read the original appeal of
MJPortal.com, is defying common sense and has decided to broadcast the film
as scheduled during the earlier time slot!

Frankly, we find it hard to believe that in a democratic society ,a cultural
documentary dedicated to the life and work of an undoubtably world-famous
musical myth like MICHAEL JACKSON, who has dedicated his life to
humanitarian and charitable organizations, can create more terror than a
film like "The Exorcist" to today's young generation and tomorrow's parents
of a new generation!
Well, what's good for the goose is good for the gander as far as we are
concerned. The message of peace and love that MICHAEL JACKSON delivers
through his music and delivered through the documentary "Living With MICHAEL
JACKSON" might upset the newer generations and "The Exorcist" no? WE WILL
NOT STAND FOR THIS!

We feel that the situation is shameful. Seeing that the global tendency of
this country is what we have seen in these past few days, we seriously fear
for this upcoming generation who merit so much LOVE, TOLLERANCE and
CONSISTENCY!
