Conrad Murray Trial Information - Discussions

The trial is taking its toll on family, friends and fans. It is hard on people to grieve and hurt for 2 plus years. While not as bad as could have been or anticipated there have been moments that were blows to us all.

I am not sure how this trial and the testimony is being presented in the Latin speaking countries nor do I know how much or little is reported, but the Media is still the Media and Michael Jackson made to look bad still arouses curiosity and that brings in the $$$$$

As the trial is about to come to an end the latest Defense excuse is Michael is a raving addict who did take any drug if he did not have the one of his choice. This is being supported by 2 Defense experts. One who has shown to have a negative bias against Michael due to watching too many TV Tabloid programs.

Thank heaven there are several professionals who are not willing to go along with the games the Defense and the Media are playing. Some are Fans and others not so much, but all are just using their knowledge to try and set the record straight. Both of the below sites can be translated into other languages.

It may seem like this is too late and I am sorry it was not here earlier, but I am also being made aware as it comes along. Beside we know the Media they will attempt and succeed to rewrite history if we say nothing and we cannot say differently if we don't know where the information is to correct them.



Now the 2 Defense expert witnesses have gone outside of standard medical procedure (no interview with MJ, no on hand observation and no testing and lab work) saying Michael is an addict and Murray was trying to Detox him.

I want to explain the process of rapid detox so everyone knows that Murray could not have been doing this, just in case this is going to be his next assertion. Rapid detox is a method of detoxifying the body of opiates. It is started in the early stages of withdrawal, and takes hours under general anesthesia. The rapid detox process begins like this: a person is sedated, and then a high dose of one of the opioid agonists is infused IV. An opioid agonist is one of three drugs: Naltrexone, Suboxone and Buprenex. These have to be present and used during rapid detox, or else it is not rapid detox. If you don’t have an opioid agonist infusing with the general anesthesia, there is nothing to replace the opiates in the opiate receptors, so all it would be is sedated. Also, the anesthesia of choice is never propofol because it does not have the longer term effects of Versed for this type of sedation, and there are also the benzodiazepine benefits that are warranted with treatment of withdrawal for the symptoms. All rapid detox does is eliminate the opiates in the opioid receptors and replaces it with the opioid agonist. It is not considered long term treatment for addiction and should be followed up with a treatment program. None of these drugs were found in his system. He was not being rapidly detoxed.
