Following Michael Jackson’s recent claims that the music industry is racist, other black artists, including R&B star Donell Jones, have started to speak out on the subject.
In a recent interview with worldpop, Donell was quick to share his feelings on the subject, ‘It is a little crazy how you can write and produce a lot of your material and you get a lot less of the money, I do think that’s a problem, I do think they need to fix some of that stuff.’
Donell’s comments come days after Jackson attended a music industry summit in Harlem at the headquarters of the National Action Network where he informed attendees that Invincible has actually sold 10 million copies worldwide to date and that he is satisfied with the numbers.
Donell Jones releases You Know that I Love You, the first single from his third album, on 12 August.
