New York Daily Times speculates about Michael & Sony Music
American newspaper the New York Daily Times is speculating about the possible crisis between Michael Jackson and his record company Sony Music Entertainment. According to the newspaper people are speculating about this all around the recording industry. Michael seems to be looking for a way out of his deal with Epic Records (daughter company of Sony) so he can buy his own label. Word is that two of Michael's advisers, Quincy Jones and DreamWorks executive John McClain, have putting out feelers to the owners of several small record companies to find out if they might sell.
Insiders say Michael thinks Epic and it's parent, Sony Music, have not pushed his new record "Invincible" as hard as he would like. Michael wants to control his destiny and reap bigger rewards if he runs his own show.
Epic Record does not return any phonecalls.
