CBS Early Show Interview Between Renne Styles And Jen of MJJF Staff
Renne Styles: Jen Winings, said she met the alleged victim when she stayed at the storybook home. Good morning Jen.
Jen: Hi Renne. How are you?
Renne Styles: I’m good, thank you. You met the alleged victim and Michael Jackson in early March when you were there. What were your first impressions of Michael Jackson at the time?
Jen: I had met him quite a few times before that within the last 2 years. I have traveled to see him quite a bit. And he’s probably one of the most caring, generous, loving people I’ve ever met. He’s very grateful to his fans, to his family…he just shows so much generosity to just everybody and he’s just amazing…a really great person.
Renne Styles: And how did he and the alleged victim interact? And again, just a reminder, that we wont use his name.
Jen: Right. Well, when I saw them together, it was very much…he took on almost like a parental role…very father figure to the young boy. Also, after the interview, the Bashir interview that aired in February…the alleged victims mother has stated is an interview…or article that her kids did actually look to Michael as a father figure. He basically just looked out for all the kids that are around him, to make sure they’re okay…and to take care of them.
Renne Styles: What were your impressions when you first heard about these allegations. What were you thinking?
Jen: When I first heard about the allegations, I was at work and I couldn’t believe it. I was completely shocked. I was very disgusted that this could happen again. I’m almost speechless, as you can see…because it’s not fair for Michael. He doesn’t deserve this. All he wants to do is help the children and it always comes back to him in someway that is just unbelievable. And like I said, I’m just disgusted at the way also that the media is portraying this situation as well.
Renne Styles: But Jen, can you not understand, and I’m just playing devil’s advocate here…do you think that Michael understands how he’s viewed by the rest of the world? Because he’s already gone record to say that he sees nothing with sleeping with young children. Does he not see how that might appear to everyone else?
Jen: I don’t know really now how he sees it or I don’t know what he thinks about the rest of the world. I know he’s going to do what he wants to do. He is Michael Jackson. He’s not going to do anything wrong. He would never, ever harm a child, in any way. He rather harm come to him before he would harm any child. Like I said, I don’t see…I’ve never seen him sleep in a bed with somebody, but if it has happened, I’m sure it was very innocent. Like he said in the interview in February, there’s nothing sexual. I believe him 100%. There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s the slightest bit guilty, at all.
Renne Styles: But is it possible, that there were instances that you didn’t see…like behind closed doors in another part of the house? Again, I’m just asking these questions because I’m curious. Is it possible that maybe something happened, that you didn’t see?
Jen: Well, there’s a possibility for everything. When we were there, with him, and all the other children…there was always supervision either by another adult, or security, always. If there was not any supervision…I wasn’t there. Like I said, every time I was there, there was supervision. So, I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. But like I said, I don’t believe it at all. Having met Michael quite a few times and having seen him with my own eyes…with children, you can just see that it’s sincere friendship that he wants for the children. Nothing more.
Renne Styles: Jen Winings. Thanks for your time this morning.
Jen: Thank you very much.
