Hello people!
It gives me a great pleasure to annouce to everyone that the project "Michael Jackson's 30th anniversary celebration: The ULTIMATE edition!", is finally finished!!!
Yes yes, some of you may remember many posts I had about the subject, and many others have been e-mailing me for weeks now, asking if it's ready. Well, people - It is now ready!
Some of you might ask yourselfs: What is the ULTIMATE edition anyway?
Well, the ULTIMATE edition is a project that took me a long time to make (and ALOT of money!). basically, it's is my own edited special edition of the MSG concerts from september 7th and 10th. It is created from various sources, and each one creates a unique view-angle of the show:
Source 1: My own recordings, taken with a Canon ZR-20 DIGITAL camcorder (perfect quality). I was sitting stage FRONT on september 7th.
Source 2: A friend's recordings, taken with a Canon ZR-20 DIGITAL camcorder (perfect quality). She was sitting stage side (right across from where Michael and Eliazbeth were sitting).
Source 3: Unknown private recording from september 7th (Adequate quality).
Source 4: CBS version, captured from Digital Cable-TV by myself (perfect quality).
Each one of these sources was acting like it's own view angle. All the videos were trasfered to the computer digitally, and were edited by myself using a proffesional video-editing software. The result is a very rare and unique production that shows the two best Michael Jackson concerts in HIStory, like never before. And just so you'd know - the CBS version sucked TOTALY, they took out all the good parts (That's what got me into this project in the first place!).
The ultimate edition is a **FOUR VCD SET**, that includes the following:
VCD 1: Before the concert, outside MSG, and Guests performers septemeber 7th. This includes alot of close-ups on Michael watching the show.
VCD 2: Michael's performance with his brothers and solo, from september 7th. Includes never-before seen video clips, like Michael playing with the audience in the best "Ho! hee hee!" interaction I have ever seen. Includes Chris Tucker's FULL monolouge (Which was REALLY funny). Includes Billie Jean from september 7th (not shown on TV). Includes You Rock My World from september 7th (not shown on TV, Michael is ALONE on stage, no background dancers). Includes We are the world!!! from the end of the show. Includes Michael taking flowers from our very own SANDY! Includes Michael jamming to the beat of YRMW with all the guest performers in the end of the show! Includes a short clip of fans chasing Michael's car after the show ended! Includes MANY MANY MANY other things that i can't come up with right now, in short - it's simply A M A Z I N G !
VCD 3: End of Michael's performances from September 7th (the We are the world part), and also MJ DAY USA 3 from September 8th. See all the fans getting together, see Gloria reading Michael's fax coming in during the show! See the surprise appearance by RODNEY JERKINGS! He gave the coolest speech ever! See me 'sneaking in' and shooting VH1's interview with Rodney Jerkins. See all the fans jamming to the sounds of Michael Jackson! See great live performances by the likes of NAVI and Brighton.
VCD 4: 15 minutes highlights of guest performances from september 10th (Deborah Cox instead of Whitney Houston, performance of "I will survive" and so on). And ofcourse - Michael's performance from september 10th! Includes many things never shown on TV, like how the explosions didn't work at the end of Black or White (And michael getting pissed off hehe), A dancer's blooper, who doesn't understand why the dance routine from TWYMMF didn't start in time, and ofcourse, the famous Torn-up-pants (And what caused them!). Also includes a 6-minutes special tribute to the one and only Ray Charles. Also includes fans get-together after september 11th, going to times square, going into Virgin Megastore to see MJ's HIStory on film II on the jumboscreens and so on.
Each VCD is PACKED with 80 minutes of video.
You people have NO idea how happy I am it is FINALLY over! This thing has been haunting me ever since I got back from the U.S.! And I had alot of other "technical" problems to deal with (Had to buy a new computer, new DV card, re-install windows... in short, it was both a nightmare and fun at the same time).
