Estos ultimos meses, he quedado fascinado con la musica de TOTO. Tal es asi, que me he bajado su discografía entera, y se ha convertido en mi 2da banda favorita.
Deambulando por la web, me encontre esta entrevista que le hicieron a Joseph Williams. Es una entrevista del año 1997 hecha por telefono y transcripta a texto en este blog.

Al preguntarle como fue su audición, el les contesta:
"...and they had a bunch of other songs in the works. One of them was a real kind of techno-poppy piece of music that had no lyrics and had no melody. It was just sort of a techno-pop piece of music that they had put together. I think it was the first time Toto really ever experimented doing a song with drum machines as well as Jeff playing but it was very techno. So I went into the studio and I started doing my best Michael Jackson imitation and started coming up with some melodies and some lyrics for it sort of on the spot and they liked what I did and they were excited about it and that was basically the first audition."
"...y venían trabajando con varias canciones. Una de ellas era una especie de techno-pop que no tenía letra ni melodía. Eran trozos de tecno-pop que tenían sueltas y las habían unido. Creo que era la primera vez que Toto experimentaba componer una canción con baterías electronicas, Jeff (baterista) también estaba tocando pero era muy tecno. Asi que, entre al estudio y empece a hacer mi mejor imitación de Michael Jackson y termine inventando algunas melodías y letras en el acto, y les gustó lo que hice y estaban muy contentos con eso y eso fue basicamente la primer audición."
Quise agregarlo como dato curioso, ya todos sabemos cual es el vinculo entre TOTO y MJ
