Karan Faye, estuvo en una concentracion de apoyo a MJ en Laguna Beach , estuvo con los fans, y aqui cuenta como fue todo...
''I couldn't get to Laguna fast enough....I had to work and then fight the traffic. My friend Courtland that created the huge banner at Michaels arraignment and his friend Myra wanted to continue speading the word of Michael's innocence. So they organized this Vigil. My cell phone rang every 5 miles as I got closer. I could hear the fans cheering over the line. I was waved down, and arrived to the biggest sign held by the warmest welcome of my friends and Michael supporters. It was cold by the beach, but all the hugs kept us warm. We all crossed the street and went to a great
Italian restaurant called "Romeo Cucina" and were greeted and welcomed by the owner Vitorio Romeo who had a huge table for at least 30 waiting for us. Because I was late, I missed most of the media, but Norma Meyer, from Copley News Service waited for me. So when we got to the restaurant I sat an gave her an interview. She was interested in the fans....and what makes them so faithful and come out in such massive numbers all over the world. "Because they know Michaels heart, I replied. Every fan has a beautiful story on how Michael and music has had a profound effect on their lives."
....and this is on a global level. I have walked along Michael's side for 23 years and he has had this effect on me, so I understand and relate perfectly to every fan."
She asked me why I came....I said "Because Michael is innocent, and that is the FACT".
She went on to say that most people think Michael is so wierd, and find him difficult to relate to.
"Thank goodness Michael is DIFFERENT. This makes the world go around. He is so incredibly interesting, if he walked into this restaurant right now every head would turn.....how incredible. If Andy Warhol walked in everyhead would turn. He is as creative with his spirit and his body and wardrobe as he is with his music and his heart. How boring our world would be without these creative souls." I LOVE that he is different!!!!! He does not go to nightclubs, and bars...his joy is going to orphanages and hospitals, giving and loving the less fortunate. If that is wierd, and different, I wanna be on that "weird" list along with him."
We all continued to have a lovely dinner and near the end of the evening blasted Michael on the boom box, and and danced with Vitorio's blessing even having some other of the diners join into our joy.
It is so healing and joyous being with the fans. I am looking forward to the next one. I am planning on being in Santa Maria on the 13th to help hold up all the banners that everyone put their hearts into.

My heart felt thanks to everyone of you who believe and are willing to fight for truth and love...I am with you...let them call me weird, I am proud of being considered weird!!!!! If being normal is acussing and hating someone for being a loving, sensitive, giving being for money greed and power and 15 minutes of media time.....I AM WEIRD and proud of it.''

No pude llegar a Laguna muy rápidamente, tuve que trabajar, y luego "luchar" contra el tráfico. Mi amigo Courtland, quien hizo la enorme pancarta para la presentación de MJ ante el juez, y su amiga Myra, querían seguir proclamando la inocencia de Michael al mundo, por eso organizaron esta vigilia. Mi teléfono móvil sonaba cada 5 millas, hasta que fui estando cerca. Podía oír a las voces de los fans a través de la linea telefónica. Me hicieron señales con la mano, y me acerqué a la pancarta más grande que llevaban mis cariñosos amigos y los que apoyaban a Michael.
Hacia frio cerca de la playa, pero todos los abrazos nos mantenían calientes. Cruzamos la calle y nos fuimos a un buen restaurante italiano, llamado "Romeo Cucina" y fuimos bien recibidos por el dueño Vitorio Romeo, que tenía preparada una gran mesa para al menos 30 personas para nosotros.
Como llegué tarde, me perdí a la mayoría de los medios de comunicación, pero Norma Meyer, del Copley News Service, esperaba por mi. Asi que cuando llegamos al restaurante, me senté y me hizo la entrevista. Estaba muy interesada en los fans... y que les hace ser tan fieles y venir en tal numero masivo de todo el mundo. "Porque ellos conocen el corazón de Michael" la contesté.
"Cada fan tiene una bonita historia de como Michael y la musica ha tenido un profundo efecto en sus vidas". ... Y eso en un nivel global. He estado con Michael 23 años, y ha tenido el mismo efecto conmigo, por eso entiendo el relato perfectamente de cada fan". Ella me preguntó porqué había ido ahí, y la dije "Porque Michael es inocente, y ese es el hecho". :enamorado
Ella entonces se puso a decir que la mayoria de la gente piensan que Michael es tan raro y le encuentran tan dificil de relacionarse con él. "¡Gracias a Dios es diferente! Eso hace que el mundo gire. El es tan interesante, si el entrase en este restaurante, todo el mundo se giraría a mirarle, ¡qué increible!. Si Andy Warhol entrase en este restaurante, todo el mundo se giraría. El es tan creativo con su espíritu, con su cuerpo, con su ropa como lo es con su música y su corazón. :urule:
¡Qué aburrido sería el mundo sin estas almas creativas! ME ENCANTA que el sea diferente. El no va a bares o discotecas, él se divierte, yendo a orfanatos y a hospitales, dando amor a los menos afortunados. Si eso es ser "raro" y diferente, yo quiero estar en esa lista de los "raros" con él." :urule:
Luego continuamos teniendo una maravillosa cena, y hacia el final de la velada, pusimos música de Michael en el Music Box, y con consentimiento de Vitorio bailamos, incluso otros comensales se unieron compartiendo nuestra diversión. Es tan sano y divertido estar con los fans. Ya estoy esperando para la siguiente ocasión. Tengo planeado ir el 13 de febrero a Santa Maria, para llevar todas las pancartas en las que todo el mundo ha puesto su corazón.
