The bash took place on the beach resort island of Koh Phangan,
earlier last week (ends30DEC01).
A local newspaper said the reclusive singer sported fancy attire
when he joined the full moon party in the wee hours one morning
before Christmas.
The parties are a monthly ritual on Rin Beach on Koh Phangan, 442 kilometres (274 miles) south of Bangkok, where thousands of mainly European and North American backpackers gather to dance until dawn.
One party-goer told the paper, "No one seemed to recognise him
except those who accompanied him."
The newspaper quoted the same person as saying Jackson's private plane landed at the international airport on nearby Koh Samui and the superstar, with an entourage of 40, took a boat to the party on Koh Phangan.
