Esta noticia es de hace 2 dias y la he sacado de ABCNEWS:
L O S A N G E L E S, Jan. 4 — The war between the Grammys and Dick Clark's American Music Awards heated up Thursday, as Clark announced that Michael Jackson will appear on his show.
Clark: ‘Michael Jackson Called Me Personally’
"Michael Jackson called me personally the day before Christmas and said, 'I'm a man of my word, I will be there,'" Clark told ABCNEWS Radio. "I am not going to do the Grammys, you have me."
Greene has dismissed Clark's suit as a publicity stunt. An angry Clark shot back that that "exemplifies probably the greatest naivete of any person I've ever met in my life.
"I've been in the business 55 years," he said. "If I were looking for publicity, I would not have issued the suit a month ahead of time … That's just plain stupidity."
Billboard quoted Greene in 1995, saying any "artists who perform on the AMAs might as well buy a ticket to the Grammys, because it's unlikely they'll be performing on our stage."
But the Recording Academy argues that it makes no sense to have artists on the Grammys who performed at another awards show a month earlier.
The AMAs air Jan. 9, and the Grammys are held on Feb. 27.
Clark's show, which got similar ratings to the Grammys as recently as 1996, has slipped in recent years. In 2001, the AMAS AMAs drew 16.2 million viewers to the Grammys' 26.7 million.
The AMAs will feature Britney Spears, Kid Rock, Usher, Mick Jagger and Cher will all perform on next week's American Music Awards, while Sean "P.Diddy" Combs tries his hand at being a television host.
Even though Jackson won't be performing on the AMAs, TV viewers can see the King of Pop perform. CBS — the home of the Grammys — will be airing a rerun of Jackson's tribute concert from New York.
Segun ésto MJ asegura q no actuará en los Grammy, pero aparece en el cartel oficial!!!!
