Police found a mysterious tape recording of a child's voice with alarms blaring in the background stashed in a safe in Michael Jackson's bedroom during a search last November, according to court testimony yesterday.
The child was allegedly in Jackson's bedroom when the tape was recorded, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Sgt. Ross Ruth testified.
Ruth said he was sure the voice on the tape was a "juvenile," but couldn't tell if it was male or female. :*)
On the tape, the child appears to be talking on the phone, Ruth said. He said one party asks, "Where are you?" and the child says, "I've gotta go. Somebody's coming."
"I heard in the background the sound of the alarms that go off when someone enters Mr. Jackson's bedroom. ... It was obvious this child was in the bedroom," Ruth said. :sacabo:
Ruth says the tape was inside a cassette player in an open safe. Prosecutor Ron Zonen did not explain its significance to the case. :bye: :bye: :bye:
