Fans urged to buy with only a few hundred copies behind No.1
MJNI have learned that Michael Jackson's latest album, Number Ones, has now slipped down one place in the charts to No.2.
However, Michael is literally only a few hundred copies behind Busted!
MJNI urge fans to go out and buy the album in support of the King of Pop to prevent this being Michael's first ever No. 2 album in the UK.
Records stores are still promoting the album. Below is a report in yesterday's The Times by an HMV spokesman:
"There's no question that we would withdraw his stock from our stores, as we are not here to act as some kind of public censor and we prefer to let our customers make up their own minds, particularly as he has not yet been convicted of any offence."
