Expressen meets Robin Williams in Hollywood. He is here to promote his new movie "One hour photo" which will be premiered in Sweden in December. Mark Romanek has directed and Robin Williams plays an employee at a photolab who becomes obsessed with a family, the mother in the family is played by danish actress Connie Nielsen. Robin Williams character saves all photos of them and after a while he starts thinking he´s a member of the family. "Alone people who become obsessed with others is more common than you think. They are everywhere. The alone and forlorn that I play is among us says Robin Williams".
After having answered questions about the movie in about ten minutes he changes subject. Suddenly he starts attacking Michael Jackson. "I recently had a show here on TV in America and I know it made a lot of people upset. I know Michael Jackson is furious."
In the TV-show Robin Williams made fun of Michael Jacksons fight against the head of Sony Tommy Mottola. Michael Jackson has previously called Tommy Mottola a racist. Jackson claims that he is opposed by his own company. He does not get enough money to promote his new record "Invincible".
"He is embarressing says Robin Williams and starts laughing. Subsequently he says:
"Racist? What does he mean? That rich white women are discriminated? Geishas are discriminated? Elves that don´t get a job anylonger? Listen Mikey, what are you going to choose? You were once a copy of Diana Ross, nowdays you look like a character from "The Lord of the Rings", says Robin Williams and continues: " Mike, don´t tell us that you are a black man, you left that behind you long back, long back Mikey".
After the show Robin Williams was criticized by Jermaine Jackson, brother of Michael. "Robin Williams and others who bad mouth and make comedic references to the scandalous allegations that he faced several years, need to be reminded that not only was Michael not convicted of any crime, he was never charged nor was he ever indicted".
When Expressen tells this to Robin Williams he begins to laugh once again. "Yeah right, Michael is just a little nice boy that has payed off more money than the Vatican. Mike what about those sleepovers after you´ve turned 40? And Mike, what about the surgery you never did?" says Robin Williams and starts imitating Michael Jackson: "No surgery, no surgery".
Robin Williams believes it is the childhood that has destroyed Michael Jackson. The guy is damaged goods. @#%$, his daddy beat the @#%$ out of him and his siblings and then I don´t mean physically. That is what´s wrong.
