Smokey on Michael

http://web.yesnetwork.com/schedule/p...tage/index.jsp He said how phenomenal Michael was as a performer and how he was the greatest entertainer he has ever seen ("and I've seen them all, man"). And then he said that when he first saw Michael as a boy - he was "still Michael Jackson - just a little Michael Jackson" - unlike anybody else. He talked about how his wife called him to tell him that MIchael had died and she was hysterical on the phone and couldn't even get teh words out. When she finally said "Michael is dead", Smokey said "Michael, who?". He said that never in a million years did he think that MIchael could die so young and that even after his wife told him it was MIchael Jackson, he didn't believe her. Then the host asked him if he was surprised at the outpouring of emotion after MIchael's death. And Smokey became visibly emotional and said that no - he was not surprised at all. That Michael took a hiatus from showbusiness, because he wanted to - not because the world had rejected him. He was still MIchael Jackson. And that this comeback people talk about was no comeback at all. "What comeback?", he said. "Michael didn't go anywhere." Then he said how all the tickets for the shows in London had sold out within minutes and how the world loved Michael and that 90% of the people on the planet feel the way he feels about MIchael.
There is a live audience at the show and they showed people tearing up. It was a powerful moment and very emotional.
I will see if I can find a clip somewhere to post.
