Some thoughts of the posthumous work I have (Opinion/ discussion)

I was listening to music today and I decided to give the album 'Michael' a listen, and I realized something: the songs with Michael's voice are not by any means terrible (definitely not the way I imagine Michael would have wanted some of those songs to sound but anyway). One thing the estate could do is re-release the album on streaming as 'Michael (2022 edition)' or something like that and take out the Cascio tracks. That way the original can stay out for the few that like the cascio tracks but the newer version can be for people who want a MICHAEL JACKSON album. And maybe remaster the songs or remix them to update the sound (because Hollywood Tonight and Behind The Mask had insane potential but IMO the final version we got is not that). Because thats a 7 track album (2 songs less than Thriller) and maybe throw in a song like This Is It or maybe another song that is ready or almost ready for release. Just my thoughts tell me what you think. Here's a breakdown of how maybe the songs could be updated/ if at all:

Hold My Hand: Nothing really needs changing, maybe less Akon and more Michael

Hollywood Tonight: In my opinion, this would be a great synth-pop song, but I respect that what we got stays true to the way it was when Michael last left it

(I Like) The Way You Love Me: The version from 2004 is much sweeter and has a much warmer feel than the 2010 version. Doesn't really need changes though.

Best of Joy: The drums sound dated but nothing else about the song needs changing, its a beautiful song as is.

(I Can't Make It) Another Day: Doesn't really need changes

Behind the Mask: Like Hollywood Tonight, this would be a good synth-pop song, somewhere between what we got on Michael and the version from the 80's would be perfect

Much Too Soon: Doesn't really need any changes.

What do you guys think of this idea? I know the odds of something like this happening are 0.03/20000 but just a thought.

I don't really think that the drum in Best of Joy is dated*, for the rest of it, I basically agree.

*or at least not that dated.

Theres some slight sounds in some of the songs that have a dated 2000's pop sound to them... might be an American sound thing tho, The drums are very dry/ thin/ raw to me. Maybe I'm just nitpicking haha.

Another thing I think.... Who would be some artists that if the estate were to create duets with using Michael's vocals would you be ok with it being? For example, if they made songs with artists like the Weeknd or Bruno Mars, some rappers like Kanye West or Kendrick Lamar, I think the sounds would work well together... What do you guys think?

U mean unreleased songs of both parts: MJ and the other artists- that the state would dare-juas! to make duets?

Yeah, I feel that as long as they're top tier artists I would have no problem turning unfinished MJ songs into duets. Like Family thing. As far as I know there is no version with full vocals- so having an artist like the Weeknd or Beyonce or Kanye perform the verses and then MJ on the chorus, on that song would be sick in my opinion.
