Sony UK have informed MJNI that with the debut of Number Ones at No.1 in the Official Uk Albums Chart, Michael Jackson joins Madonna and David Bowie as the only three solo artists to have ever had eight UK No.1 albums.
Cross counter sales topped 118,000, which makes it Michael's highest first week sales in the twelve years since 1991's Dangerous.
Meanwhile, in Australia, the album debuted at No. 8. First week sales were over 35,000, gaining Gold Status. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Urban Chart. (Thanks to Brent Sheriff)
