Michael's Clan
April 22, 2002
MICHAEL JACKSON seemed happier than ever at the taping of DICK CLARK's "American Bandstand 50th -- a Celebration" extravaganza over the weekend. The king of pop performed "Dangerous" for the star-packed event with his two children, PRINCE and PARIS JACKSON, by his side.
"I love Dick Clark," he told ET as he got ready to take the stage. The American Bandstand anniversary special, airing Friday, May 3, on ABC (8 p.m. ET/PT), boasts a classic lineup of musical performers including CHER, STEVIE WONDER, KISS, ALANIS MORISSETTE, BRANDY, LITTLE RICHARD, The VILLAGE PEOPLE, the POINTER SISTERS and DENNIS QUAID and his band, among others.
Meanwhile, tongues wagged that the reason for the gloved one's glee is because he's thinking about adding more children to his royal family. ET caught up with Michael, who didn't rule out the possibility, telling us that although he wasn't planning on any more kids "right now," he "may be" thinking about it soon.
The anniversary special features appearances by WHITNEY HOUSTON, JANET JACKSON, LENNY KRAVITZ, JENNIFER LOPEZ, and *NSYNC, with Dick Clark at the center of it all, naturally!
Watch ET tonight for the behind-the-scenes action!
