Lista de posibles testigos

Posibles Testigos de la DEFENSA:
Jay Leno

The ABCs, 1-2-3s of Jackson's all-star witness list

César G. Soriano, USA TODAY

Michael Jackson's child molestation trial could end up looking a lot like a Hollywood premiere. On Monday, Jackson's attorneys revealed a list of 370 possible witnesses, many of them celebrities. Some of the names also are on the prosecution's list. USA TODAY looks at the most famous potential witnesses, and why they might be called:
clear.gif

The celebrity in question: Jay Leno, 54

Claim to fame: Host of NBC's Tonight Show

Connection to Jackson:Unclear. His publicist, Dick Guttmane says the two might have worked on similar charity projects but otherwise don't know each other.
Jackson has never appeared on Leno's show.

Possible testimony: Celebrity Justice producer and attorney Harvey Levin says Leno and other celebrities were recruited by the accuser's mother to perform at Hollywood's Laugh Factory to raise money for his cancer treatments, though his medical bills were fully covered by insurance. Leno could testify about any contact he had with the boy's mother as part of a defense strategy to discredit her.

Elizabeth Taylor, 72

Claim to fame: Academy Award-winning actress

Connection to Jackson:Longtime friend. Jackson's Neverland Valley Ranch was the setting for her 1991 wedding to Larry Fortensky (since divorced). After Jackson's 2003 arrest, Taylor issued a statement: "I believe Michael is absolutely innocent and that he will be vindicated."

Possible testimony: Taylor is a non-controversial celebrity who could lend credibility to Jackson's character, says jury consultant Richard Gabriel. Taylor is "someone who is actually quite close to him, who has spent a lot of time around him, can testify ... about his conduct, his behavior, his intent around children."

Kobe Bryant, 26

Claim to fame: Basketball player, Los Angeles Lakers

Connection to Jackson"I know him and I've had conversations with him and things like that," Bryant told reporters Monday. In 2001, the accuser's mother claimed Bryant was helping her sick son, according to Celebrity Justice.

Possible testimony: Could help defense paint the mother as a woman obsessed with "celebrity aura," says Levin. Bryant was tried on rape charges last year, but the case was dismissed. "He could testify to an African-American man being falsely accused of sexual charges, how easy it is to make those allegations and how hard it is to disprove," says criminal defense attorney Steve Cron.

Chris Tucker, 32

Claim to fame: Actor, comedian

Connection to Jackson: Tucker met and befriended the accuser through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. After a Martin Bashir interview with Jackson aired in Britain on Feb. 3, 2003, the accuser and his family — at Jackson's request — flew to Miami aboard Tucker's private jet.

Possible testimony: Tucker could refute prosecutors' claim the Miami trip was part of a plan by Jackson and his aides to imprison and intimidate the family. Tucker "can help the defense show the victim was only concerned with money. They can show the mother really milked this kid's illness to the highest degree," says attorney and NBC legal analyst Ronald Richards.

Larry King, 71

Claim to fame: CNN talk-show host

Connection to Jackson:King has interviewed Jackson's siblings and Corey Feldman.

Possible testimony: King and other journalists on the witness list "could testify about inconsistent statements made by the (other) witnesses," says Richards.

Nick Carter, 25, and Aaron Carter, 17

Claim to fame: Singers and brothers

Connection to Jackson: Friends. Aaron and Nick attended Jackson's 45th birthday party at Neverland in 2003.

Possible testimony: At Jackson's party, Aaron Carter and Tucker spent the night at Neverland. Carter says he and Jackson "have a normal friendship. There's nothing sexual to it," he told People magazine last year.

Corey Feldman, 33

Claim to fame: Actor

Connection to Jackson: As a child actor, Feldman had a close relationship with Jackson. They've since had a falling out.

Possible testimony: In an interview with Martin Bashir on ABC's 20/20, Feldman admitted that Jackson showed him pornography but says Jackson never touched him inappropriately. Feldman's agent confirmed Tuesday that the actor has been subpoenaed to testify.

Quincy Jones, 71

Claim to fame: Producer, songwriter

Connection to Jackson: Produced Jackson's hit albums Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad. Character witness.

Possible testimony: Jones is somebody "who has interacted with him on a personal level and has seen him interact with children and other adults," says Richards.

Diana Ross, 60

Claim to fame: Singer, actress

Connection to Jackson: Starred opposite Jackson in 1978 film The Wiz, produced by Jones.

Possible testimony: "Under California law, you're entitled to have people present evidence that your character is one of normal sexual tendencies," says Richards. "A female celebrity could say he showed normal tendencies around adult women."

Stevie Wonder, 54

Claim to fame: Singer/ songwriter

Connection to Jackson: Friend since childhood. Collaborated with Jackson on several songs, including We Are the World.

Possible testimony: "He might say (Jackson) is a great musician, he's always taking care of children, he donates money, he opens his home to inner-city children," says Cron.

Brett Ratner, 35

Claim to fame: Filmmaker

Connection to Jackson: Longtime friend. Ratner interviewed Jackson and wrote about their friendship in Interview magazine. He witnessed the accuser's behavior on the set of Rush Hour 2.

Possible testimony: Ratner told Fox News last year that the accuser's mother was "an opportunist." "Ratner has nothing bad to say," says Richards. "He could testify that Jackson has never had a prurient interest in children, or he could say we've had girls come to my house and Jackson has been into it. Either way, he helps Michael Jackson."

Uri Geller, 58

Claim to fame: Psychic, spoon-bender

Connection to Jackson: Friends with Jackson for five years. "I want to believe that Michael Jackson is innocent," Geller said by phone from London Tuesday.

Possible testimony: Geller says he is willing to testify that Jackson's "gullibility and naiveness" make him a target for opportunists. Geller says Jackson told him, under hypnosis, that he had never touched a child inappropriately. "If I am wrong, my belief in human nature, my ability to judge human character has been shattered to the core."

David Blaine, 31

Claim to fame: Illusionist

Connection to Jackson:Geller introduced Jackson to Blaine in 2002 during a trip to London.

Possible testimony: Geller says Jackson and Blaine only met socially at a charity event. Blaine's appearance on the list "is really unusual," says Cron.

Deepak Chopra, mid-50s

Claim to fame: New Age spiritual leader

Connection to Jackson: Spiritual adviser to Jackson

Possible testimony: "As a spiritual person, he could open up about the spiritual side of Michael Jackson's character," says Geller.

Steve Wynn, 63

Claim to fame: Casino developer, owner of The Palms and the soon-to-open Wynn Las Vegas resort.

Connection to Jackson: Longtime friend.

Possible testimony: "Wynn is alleged to have advised Jackson to settle the (child molestation) case in 1993," says Richards. The defense may try to show that the settlement was purely a business decision and not an admission of guilt, says Richards.

y a yael miranda...

EXPLIQUENME NO ENTIENDO!! :llorando: :llorando:
