MICHAEL JACKSON
MOONWALKER
HMV DVD RETAIL EXCLUSIVE
14th MARCH 2005
Who's BAD? Self-proclaimed King of Pop MICHAEL JACKSON sings and dances up a storm in the epic musical fantasy MOONWALKER making its DVD debut Exclusively at HMV from 14th March 2005 priced £15.99 RRP.
A combination of footage of Michael Jackson live in concert and a series of fantasy pieces with Jackson as the central character, MOONWALKER showcases one of the greatest musical performers in history at his creative zenith.
A sensation upon its original cinema release in 1988, MOONWALKER features live performances and music videos for some of Jackson's biggest hits. The outstanding centrepiece is the music video fantasy feature for Smooth Criminal set at a seedy underworld nightclub whose influence can be seen in the work of a whole new generation of performers like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. It's a mini-movie, also featuring Joe Pesci (Lethal Weapon, GoodFellas, Home Alone) as an evil drug lord intent on pushing drugs to kids. With amazing special effects, this segment features Michael morphing into a car as well as a spaceship in the climactic finale.
Fans can delight in the classic subway gangland confrontation video for Bad and the hilarious 'Badder' featuring the kids from the Smooth Criminal segment in stunning Dolby Surround sound and crystal clear pictures. The hilarious live-action / Claymation genius of Speed Demon featuring MJ being chased on a motorbike (disguised as a rabbit) by the paparazzi and the fantastic dance-off with the rabbit costume is also present. The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Leave Me Alone and Come Together as well as some of the hits from his and the Jacksons catalogue are featured.
Classic musical numbers coupled with groundbreaking choreography, MOONWALKER was named after Michael's trademark dance move he first revealed at the unforgettable Motown 25th Anniversary celebrations.
