Opiniones sobre el nuevo disco de Prince, 3121.

Se nota que ha disfrutado componiendo el disco. Es lo bueno de prince, te puede gustar o no pero sabes que lo hace con el corazón pasando de modas( igual que madonna:jajaja:). A mi el disco me gusta, tiene mucha calidad y es diferente a lo que se oye por ahi. Prince es un artistazo y este disco lo confirma, un prince mucho mas maduro que sus primeros éxitos y con mucha más calidad. Chapó!
 
Se rumorea que Prince vendrá a España a finales de Julio :tamuymal:.

La fuente es una usuaria de El Poblado de Prince que parece muy segura de lo que dice :p.

Por otra parte el día 17 de Abril se va a hacer un anuncio de "algo" en BBC Radio 2, puede que sea el anuncio de la gira. Ya veremos.

While listening to Mark Goodyear this morning on BBC Radio 2 who currnetly have '3121' as there album of the week, at the end of the 'FURY' track he announced that he knew a Prince secret that his fans will love more detail on the week of April 17th.

Muy muy bueno este album.

Por cierto, en el mini concierto que Prince dio la otra noche toco "Don't stop til you get enough" y "What have you done for me lately".

Después de varias semanas de escuchas este disco lo divido asi:

Joyas: 3121, Love, The Word, Fury y Get On The Boat.

Buenas: Lolita, The Dance y Te Amo Corazón.

Ni fu ni fa: BL&B, Incense & Candles, Satisfied y Black Sweat.


Le doy al disco un 7. Al Nano le doy un 10. Puede que no sea su mejor disco, puede que no vaya a vender 15 millones y puede que no gane 4 Gramisss(casi que lo prefiero) pero no hay que dudar que vive por y para la música, no pierde su indentidad y no necesita productores de moda/mierda que le digan tonterias.

Él se lo guisa y él se lo come, y por supuesto contando con músicos como la copa de un pino.

Solo con pensar en verlo en directo me corro vivo...
 
Ahora que lo he escuchado bastante más coincido en lo de poner le un 7. Prince hace tiempo que no es el que era pero al menos sigue haciendo su música.

Se pueden escuchar: 3121, Lolita, Sastified, Get on the Boat (la mejor de este aaprtado) y The Word.:)

Me encanta el disco. Mis favoritas son beautiful love and blessed, 3121 y incense and candles.

No han salido las cifras del billboard, pero en hits daily double (que suele atinar) está el número uno con 185000 copias.

En españa está en el 40.

Prince Nets First No. 1 Album Debut With '3121'

Prince achieves his first career No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 this week with his new NPG Music/Universal album, "3121." The set sold 183,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to open at No. 1 on the big list, as well as on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums tally.

Prince last topped the R&B/Hip-Hop chart with 1991's "Diamonds & Pearls." On The Billboard 200, he now has four No. 1s, including 1989's "Batman," 1985's "Around the World in a Day" and 1984's "Purple Rain."

Yo para celebrarlo ya he pedido cita para tatuarme el symbol en la muñeca :D. Bueno, en realidad lo he hecho antes de que fuera oficial :p.
 
Hola a tod@s.

Lo primero, decir que conozco prácticamente toda la discografía de Prince, desde "For You" hasta "3121", con algunas excepciones ("Black Album", "Crystal Ball" y poco más).

Y este último disco me ha parecido más bien flojillo. En términos generales, me ha dado la impresión de que todo es muy artificioso, con soniditos electrónicos, vocecillas distorsionadas (mete incluso el vocoder en un par de canciones), y ritmos estrambóticos, tan pretendidamente "vanguardistas" que uno no sabe por dónde cogerlos.

Me ha parecido también que Prince no puede modular su voz con tanta versatilidad como lo hacía antaño. Especialmente su clásico falsete, que antes era intenso, penetrante y apasionado, ahora se queda a mitad de camino. No llega. Y esa pérdida de calidad en la voz se ve obligado a compensarla con barrocos y sobrecargantes arreglos de producción.

En fin, que 3121 no me parece un álbum tan natural y espontáneo como otros que ha hecho Prince y que son una auténtica maravilla para los oídos. Por si fuera poco, tiene muchas canciones de relleno, aburridísimas, que están ya trilladas hasta el agotamiento ("beautiful...", "Satisfied", "Incense...", etc.).

Para mí la escucha del disco queda reducida más o menos a 7 temas (el resto me los salto por la torera). Y aunque cada vez que lo oigo me gusta más, sigo pensando lo mismo que comento líneas arriba.
 
No sabia si abrir otro tema, pero creo que mejor todo lo de Prince aquì, no?​

Prince may not like American Idol, but that won't stop him from using the show to sell more records. Gossip site PageSix.com reports today that enigmatic pop star Prince will appear on the reality show at the behest of his record company, Universal Music.
Executives are urging Prince to appear on Idol and perform a song from his latest LP, 3121, after Barry Manilow received a huge bump in sales following his appearance on the show. The site quotes a source close to Prince as saying that the move isn't sitting well with his majesty.
"It wasn't easy though because Prince apparently hates the show and has never even watched it," the source said.
Prince earned a career first last week when 3121 debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, selling 183,000 copies. The same week, Manilow's LP, The Greatest Songs of the Fifties, rose 20 spots to number four and saw a 140 percent increase in sales, ostensibly due to his Idol appearance.
In the past, American Idol has incorporated famous musical guests into "theme" nights, as when Manilow appeared and all of the contestants sang Barry Manilow songs, or an all-Stevie Wonder night when Wonder appeared. Idol fans would be in for a treat, seeing their favorite contestants belt out Prince classics like "Raspberry Beret" or "Little Red Corvette."
If the appearance comes to fruition, it would be a minicoup for the reality competition, which is already seeing series-high ratings this season. The publicity-shy Prince limits his personal appearances, and for a time only communicated to the outside world through his Web site.​
 
Pues el álbum en general me gusta bastante, además tiene ese toque comercial justo-sin pasarse-k le pido a la música pop.

Mis favoritas en plan medio-tiempo son Incense and candles y por supuesto BL&Blessed con ese r&b sugerente y "guapo" con dos voces tan sensuales, esa Tamar!

En las movidas está en primer lugar la bestial Fury: esos teclados tan enganchantes y el salpicado guitarrero de moda!, hay k ver cómo sabe llevar el tema, templando,dosificando, distribuyendo con estilo la letra, el ritmo...una FURIA k hace verdadero honor al título.

Luego en plan bailable mi prefe es Lolita (me recuerda en la cadencia a Kiss), luego Black Sweat (la canción torridilla de rigor suya).

La k menos me mola es: The dance.

Pos'eso.
 
Quería decir que estoy bastante enganchado al disco.:eek: :D

Me gusta mucho más de lo que creí que me gustaría, de la 1 a la 5 y de la 8 a la 10 hay vicio total!:dime: ...y ese final tan rítmico con Get in the Boat es genial!!!:p

Le subo del 7 al 8. Incense and Candless es tan bonita....:eek: ..y Te amo corazón es un 10 completo.:D
