UNCASVILLE, Conn. - Former talk show titan Rosie O'Donnell returned to the stand-up comedy stage for the first time in six years at the big Mohegan Sun bash over the weekend and the woman once dubbed ``the Queen of Nice'' set out to prove she was anything but!
``I'm no longer a TV talk show host,'' O'Donnell told the thousands of revelers packed into the casino's gigantic ballroom during the weekend's big finale. ``The bitch ain't so nice anymore.''
Rosie, who gushed over her guests on her chat show, proceeded to diss a cadre of celebs, pouring out a vat of venom she'd kept bottled up during her on-air reign.
``I saw Michael Jackson at Liza Minnelli's wedding,'' she said. ``I ignored him because as a rule, I don't speak to pedophiles.''
On the absent Oprah Winfrey - who was supposed to be in the house for Rosie's gig, but her plane ``got diverted'' - she said: ``She didn't come. She was busy. She was home counting her money.''
Oooh, ouch!
No one was safe from Ro's verbal venom including also-MIA Mohegan guest Sharon Stone, whom she skewered for her bizarre performance at an AIDS benefit a few years back.
O'Donnell said Stone stumbled onstage to receive an award and proceeded to recite all the words to John Lennon's ``Imagine.'' Imagine that.
And of ex-President Bill Clinton, who was at the casino earlier in the weekend, the comedian said, ``He disgusts me.''
And for her parting shot, O'Donnell dubbed Liza's wedding ``the gayest event since the last day of my show.''
Rolling in the aisles at the Rosie gig - which proved the former stand-up gal needs to try out new material in smaller venues - were ex-``Saturday Night Live'' Superstar Molly Shannon and other SNLers like Jimmy Fallon and former Not Ready For Prime Time titan Dan Aykroyd, who had an after-party in his room; director Spike Lee and wife Tanya Lewis; 'N Syncers Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick; ``West Wing''nut Ron Silver; and Rosie's pregnant S.O., Kelli Carpenter.
