Michael Jackson in the midst of the fabulous world of the snow-covered mountains of Ischgl will be a fascinating highlight and milestone in the history of the most famous and most active ski resort in the Alps. However, it will also be a milestone in the history of this artist, for, at this premiere, 30.000 young people will not just be listening to the speeches and the music as a passive audience. They will be actively taking part and their participation will be two-fold—they will be sending SMS messages on their cell phones for a good cause, and they will be dancing on several stages to Michael Jackson’s music. After Elton John, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Jon Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart, Sting, Bob Dylan, and many other artists such as The Gipsy Kings, Chaka Khan, the Russian State Ballet, the La Scala opera from Milan, and, last year, Bill Clinton, the Ischgl stage is ready for the King of Pop.
A youth summit meeting – The Day of Youth
This is an “impulse event,” which is why it isn’t necessary for Michael Jackson to perform with a band.
Instead, a large, professional dance group from the state theater, could perform in the promotional show together with Michael Jackson.
The motto is: the Day of Youth and “Children for Children.”

The primary aspects here are not singing, but Michael Jackson’s presence as a star on the interactive stage of Ischgl and the message. Of course, the young people are expecting the performer Michael Jackson as well.

Everyone living in the Alpine region is in full support of this day, of the music and the speakers that will be heard, and of the peaceful atmosphere. This stage that is surrounded by snow-covered, powerful mountains has already seen such performers as Elton John, Tina Turner, Jon Bon Jovi, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart, but also the La Scale opera of Milan, Chaka Kahn, and, last year, Bill Clinton.

Those of us who live in the mountains want to make this event an absolutely unique experience for all participants.

It is our goal to make sure that people feel that the event itself, the music, the young people, and the representatives of various governments are all in harmony with nature and with young people without losing any of the event’s charm and its magical excitement and exhilaration. Yet, at the same time, we want to make certain that this excitement does not become over-stimulated or turn into a disturbance. We want to see that the sublime music, the power of the surrounding mountains, the vastness of the landscape, and closeness to nature pulls everyone into one single harmonious unit and that this event will linger in people’s consciousness.
The purity of the surroundings, the refraction of the light, and the sound of the music will leave behind enduring, unique impressions. All this is fleeting. The snow will melt, the young people will return to their homes in urban areas, the music will fall silent. But the deeply affecting images remain as a memory that will never be forgotten.
This appeal will enhance dialogue between young people, the music, and the artist and make it even more dynamic.

The Id-Alpe, an almost mystical plateau in the middle of the Alps, is an ideal place for the event.

More than 40 million newspaper pages carried Bill Clinton’s “Message from the Mountains.” This year, it will be a hundred times more, for we have learned from the first event of this event series.

The Internet and mobile phones provide the technical backbone of the worldwide network; unfortunately, up to now, the emotional software network that can be started with a single spark to connect and unite children in the entire world has not been available.
